Hi friends! Welcome back! And welcome back to me too! I was pretty sick the last couple of weeks which was a shock for me because I haven't been sick in literally years so I was not handling it well at all. I did absolutely nothing besides sit on my couch and feel sorry for myself, but I'm finally starting to feel healthy again so we are back baby! Now, let's get to the star of the show: this sweater!
I try not to get swayed by too many adds on Instagram, but a few months ago I saw an ad for this sweater I gasped. Then I saw the price and I gasped again, closed the tab and went about my business. Unfortunately, for me I kept seeing that same ad over and over and on top of that I started seeing multiple influencers styling this same sweater. I couldn't seem to escape it and instead of wanting it less, my desire for this sweater started to consume me. So eventually, I caved and I have absolutely NO regrets. I would go as far as to say this is my favorite sweater of all time.
While I do not think we should purchase every single item of clothing that we love, I do think every now and then it's okay to purchase an item that's a bit more expensive than you're used to if you can justify the cost and it's something you feel like you can/will wear multiple ways for years to come. For example, this sweater is made of 100% natural fibers (70% cotton, 30% merino wool) so you know it is made to last if you take care of it. Also, the small details on the hem, neckline and sleeves are cool enough to feel current, but also subtle enough to never go out of style. I'm a "jeans and an oversized sweater" kinda girl in the colder months so, for me, having quality, chic sweaters is important. I'm willing to spend a little more on a sweater if I know it's going to stand the test of time.
Anyway, that's my spiel on that! I'm so happy to be back and so ready to get back into doing what I love the most, which is styling cute outfits. Until next time, tootles sugar plums! Xoxo.
