Birthday Outfit Recap

Hi friends! Welcome back! Last Friday was my birthday so, naturally, I spent the entire weekend celebrating. On Friday night I went out for a nice dinner with my husband, Jason, and my mom and then we came back to our place to eat cake and open gifts. On Saturday Jason and I went to the iPic theater to see The Strangers: Chapter 1. I'm a major thriller/horror movie fan and I'm also a major dine-in movie fan so this was an obvious choice as part of my birthday weekend extravaganza. Lastly, on Sunday I went to Top Golf with my in-laws. As far as my golf skills are concerned, I think it's safe to say I should stick to fashion, but all that matters is that I had fun right? Because I most definitely did!

Okay so about my outfits...this post is going to be a bit all over the place because I didn't think about how I was going to incorporate my looks into a blog post beforehand so I'm just going to post whatever I have in whatever format I have them in. I feel like you guys don't really care how I documented the look as long as you get to see it right? I'll write a short description above the photo explaining my thought process behind both looks. Also, fyi: unfortunately I didn't take any photos of my outfit on Saturday because we were rushing to get to the movie and traffic was terrible, but honestly it wasn't my best look anyway so you're not missing much. Okay, let's get to it.

Friday Night:

So for dinner on Friday I went for a double denim look with silver accessories. Normally I tend to stick to denims with similar washes when I wear double denim, but I recently saw one of my favorite influencers style a darker wash denim shirt with a light wash pair of jeans. I loved how it looked so I decided to recreate my own version of that. I think it came out pretty good if I do say so myself!

Sunday:

As I mentioned above, Sunday was the day we went to Top Golf so I wanted to wear something that was comfy, but also very chic and very me. I went with a pair of baggy jeans, a tank top, a lightweight vintage jacket I got recently, and a pair of fisherman sandals my husband just got me for my birthday. I wore the sandals for the first half of the day and then switched into sneakers to play golf.
