Favorite Color, Favorite Season

Hi everyone! Welcome back! I know I've been talking about stepping out of my comfort zone with my style a lot lately, but this week I am really going for it. I feel like the fashion industry has always frowned upon bright colors during the colder months so I tend to shy away from them. If you look through almost every fashion girl's feed on Instagram (including mine) during the autumn/winter months, you will most likely see an absence of any color outside of the neutral family. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of "in your face" colors, but I have been obsessing over this pink blazer ever since my mom got it for me last spring and I just couldn't resist styling it again.

So here's the thing. The thing I have been writing about over and over again these last few months. Trends are cool, but what's cooler than following trends is following your heart and your gut. After months of convincing myself that wearing a hot pink blazer in the fall is tacky, I finally decided to take my own advice and I could not be happier with how this look turned out. You can make any color work for any season as long as it's styled right. Don't get me wrong, you're not going to see me in neon green or anything, but you might catch me wearing orange in the middle of winter. Okay, probably not, but you feel me right? Life is too short to wear boring clothes. Wear what you love and don't worry about what everyone else is doing. For styling details, I felt like an all black look worked best with this blazer so that's exactly what I went with. I still can't believe how much I'm loving wearing hats all of a sudden. Also, *side note* the real mvps this fall have been these basic fitted turtlenecks that I bought at the beginning of the season.
